GRAND CAYMAN, 1 July 2022 - - Cayman Capital Trust Corporation Ltd. (CSX: CNC) KY (“CNC”) announces that Mr. Richard Sammy has been appointed as a director of Cayman Capital Trust Corporation Ltd. Subject to regulatory approvals, Mr. Sammy will also be appointed to the Board of Directors of Cayman Capital Trust Bank Ltd.
Mr. Sammy is a distinguished banker with significant regional experience in corporate and investment banking, risk management and banking operations, having served as the Managing Director of Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited and General Manager of Corporate and Investment Banking of Republic Bank Limited. He is a past Director of the Caribbean Association of Banks Inc., the American Chamber of Commerce-Guyana, and former Chairman of the Guyana Association of Bankers Inc. Mr. Sammy holds a Master of Business Administration from the Warwick Business School (UK), a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine campus,
(Trinidad) and is a graduate of The Wharton School's Advanced Management Program (USA).
Mr. Sammy's appointment to the board follows the retirement of Mr. Roopnarine Oumade Singh, also effective 1 July 2022. Mr. Oumade Singh served on the Board of Directors for three years.
