Additional Card Security
with 3D Secure™
Shopping online just got more secure with 3D Secure™ (3DS), giving you enhanced protection when using a Cayman Capital Trust Debit or Credit Card. Available to all Visa and MasterCard cardholders, 3DS is a secure online payment service which verifies the cardholder with a One Time Password (OTP) and helps protect against unauthorised use of your card online. It’s a free service and all Cayman Capital Trust cardholders are automatically registered with their contact details on file with the bank. This service is available only on 3DS certified merchant sites.
When purchasing online, follow these three simple steps:
- Enter your debit or credit card information as usual.
- If the site is a 3DS certified merchant site, a 3D Secure™ window will open. You’ll be asked to verify your identity by entering the one-time password (OTP) that is sent to you by email and via SMS to your mobile phone.
- Once you enter the correct OTP and your payment is accepted, your purchase is confirmed.
*Please note that if your contact details are not up-to-date you will not receive the OTP required to complete your transaction if prompted with the 3DS window. Contact our Customer Support Team or visit one of our Customer Service Centres to update your contact information on file, if necessary.
